- ➤ Krzysiak’s House Restaurant has seen a boost in customers since Thanksgiving because its homemade meals bring back fond memories+ the restaurant will be closed for Christmas and reopen on Dec. 31 for a New Year’s Eve party. WNEM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Bentley Community Schools will hold a ribbon cutting for its new preschool building, the Bentley Little Bulldog Learning Center, on Jan. 16 at noon. The facility expands capacity from 18 to 48 children after voters approved a nearly $3 million bond millage in May 2024. ABC12

- ➤ Area 13 Tattoo owner Gabe Windt says a new state law now allows tattoo numbing cream only if prescribed by a doctor, meaning clients must brace for more painful ink sessions. He noted his shop rarely used numbing cream and that local artists may petition the change. ABC12
- ➤ Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced a nearly $150 million settlement with Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler AG over illegal emissions software that affected almost 211,000 vehicles, and Michigan will receive $805,067 while affected buyers may also get a $2,000 subsidy and software updates.
