- ➤ Michigan unemployment benefits will increase by $84 per week to $530 effective Jan. 1 (benefits for eligible dependents will rise from $12.66 to $19.33). In addition, beginning in July, job seekers must record three work search activities weekly instead of one. ABC12

- ➤ Michigan health officials have maintained that all newborns should receive the hepatitis B vaccine based on guidelines from leading pediatric groups.
