- ➤ On Giving Tuesday, local volunteers in Bay City launched Blessing Boxes—filing cabinet–style boxes filled with essential items like water, gloves, and hygiene products to help neighbors in need. Nearly 20 boxes were placed across town with plans for more as organizers restocked them several times each day. ABC12
- ➤ Bay City will host the 'It Takes A Village' fundraiser on Dec. 7 from 1-5 p.m. to help foster children in the area. ABC12
- ➤ Good Samaritan Rescue Mission has delayed its overnight drop-in center—now set to open around the third week of December instead of December 1. When it opens, 35 people can use the space for meals, laundry, and showers while connecting with health and housing services, and volunteers are being sought to help. WNEM

- ➤ The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is urging residents to get a flu vaccine as flu activity increases—this year's vaccine targets a severe H3N2 strain and officials recommend vaccination for anyone 6 months and older to help protect against rising risks during the holiday season.
