- ➤ A new statewide report says Michigan’s current special education funding leaves gaps that hurt students with disabilities and links the funding model to uneven outcomes—education leaders will soon review the Blueprint's plan for a fairer system. - ➤ Bay City Bridge Partners announced its Facebook page was compromised after odd posts began on October 29th — the company urged users not to engage with the content while it works to restore secure access through official channels. MLive
- ➤ The Michigan State Police are accepting new and gently used coats for kids in need from November 4 through November 27 at any state police post or weigh station — the donation drive will help keep children warm this winter. WNEM
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Bay City will see new affordable housing when fenced-off properties in downtown and the Columbus Avenue Business District are cleared for an environmental cleanup starting this fall—paving the way for phase one that builds a four-story apartment building with 39 units and 17 townhomes. A second project across town will add nearly 90 residential units and two storefronts using a $4.3 million state loan as city officials work to offer affordable options to working families. WNEM
