- ➤ Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City is adding an overnight drop in center for the homeless that will open by Dec. 1 and offer meals, laundry and shower services. - ➤ Consumers Energy will sign a 30-year agreement to buy back power from its 13 dams—sold for $1 each to Confluence Hydro LLC—at a starting price of $160 per megawatt-hour with a 2.5% annual increase, shifting future maintenance and environmental liabilities to the new owner. The deal awaits approval from state energy regulators and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. ABC12

- ➤ The Saginaw Community Foundation has opened applications for its 2026 scholarship program and students from Saginaw, Bay — and Midland counties must submit an online form by Feb. 13 to be eligible for over 200 awards, including a new option for career training programs.
