ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The Garfield Township Volunteer Fire Department building on West Erickson Road was mostly destroyed in a fire on Thursday morning — the roof collapsed and fire trucks will be inspected to see if they are usable.  WNEM

  • Detroit Lemon Squeeze—a new brick-and-mortar restaurant run by a Bay City food truck owner—opened at 301 Lafayette Ave. in September and serves fresh lemonade, smash burgers, and more. In Frankenmuth, the Bavarian Blast Waterpark won the Leading-Edge Award from the World Waterpark Association for its innovation.  MLive
  • The Michigan Small Business Development Center will host the 2025 Business by the Bay Pitch event at John Glenn High School Auditorium on November 12. Finalists will pitch their business ideas before judges to compete for $11,500 after a meet and greet at 5 p.m. and a pitch contest at 6 p.m.  WNEM

  • Bay City has closed Marquette Avenue just before the Wilder Road intersection due to an unexpected issue—drivers are advised to use Lewis Street for rerouting. The city said the road is expected to reopen by Monday with a possibility as early as Saturday night.  WNEM
