  • The Salvation Army of Bay City has extended its baby food pantry hours—Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.—to help Bay County families as SNAP benefits pause starting November 1. It offers formula, diapers, wipes and baby starter kits for mothers with young infants during this crisis.  WNEM
  • The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan gives out 39 million pounds of food each year to over 222,000 people and now expects more demand when SNAP benefits will pause on November 1, leaving 1.4 million Michiganders to rely on food banks. President Kara Ross said the bank gets (30% of its funding from the government) and now needs more donations as local groups step up to offer free meals.  Mid Michigan NOW
  • The Fair Food Network expanded its Double Up Food Bucks program to help Michigan families as SNAP pauses November 1, eliminating the daily spending cap and removing the 90‑day limit on using earned incentives.
