- ➤ Bay City community members raised over $3,700 on a fundraiser to replace Brayden Milkowski's stolen e-bike—Milkowski relies on the bike for transportation to Delta College since he cannot drive due to autism and seizures, and he now rides a new e-bike with accessories from Ray's Bike Shop. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ A veteran-owned foundry in Bay City is proposing a $2.2M expansion at 1899 First St. — the plan will add up to 25 new jobs and new equipment — pending a vote by the city commission on Sept. 8. MLive

- ➤ Bay City’s commission has changed a lot over the last year—most members left while only Cordal Morris from the 9th Ward remains until December; the new lineup now has fresh faces and a vacancy in the 3rd Ward that will be filled soon. MLive
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Nurses at Henry Ford Health Genesys Hospital have been on strike for five days as talks ended today without a deal— the main issue is nurse-to-patient ratios. Union leader Dan Glass said there was little progress while hospital officials plan to resume talks on Wednesday and possibly Friday. Mid Michigan NOW
