- ➤ A Bay City man, Jason M. Samborn, caused a high-speed drunken driving crash in July 2024 that left him and two others hospitalized—he was sentenced on Aug 28 to 18 months probation and fined $1,465. MLive
- ➤ Former Bay City State Theatre director Mike Bacigalupo may soon enter a plea in a federal fraud case targeting local organizations — including Bay City State Theatre, Bay City Historical Society, and Michigan Economic Development Corp — as his hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Patricia T. - ➤ Bay City Public Schools approved a three-year contract with the Bay City Education Association on Sept. 2 that released the school calendars through 2028. The new agreement sets key dates including the 2026-27 school year from Aug. 25 to June 4 and the 2027-28 year from Aug. 24 to June 2 with scheduled breaks. MLive
