CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Mike Bacigalupo, the former State Theatre director and special events coordinator, faces a federal wire fraud charge after an FBI investigation that began in 2024 found he used false pretenses to obtain funds from local groups such as the State Theatre, Bay City Historical Society and Michigan Economic Development Corporation – a scheme that led to the theatre’s bankruptcy while Mayor Chris Girard said he expects a legal resolution.
