- ➤ Michigan Sugar Co. worked with Bay City officials to set up new routes for its sugarbeet trucks during the harvest season as Lafayette Bridge is closed — trucks will use Liberty Bridge and Midland Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Veterans Memorial Bridge after 7 p.m. while growers prepare to harvest beets from 140,000 acres starting in late August. - ➤ The Bay City Commission approved a five-year renewal deal with Axon Enterprise for body-worn cameras, costing about $300,000—set to start after the current contract ends on Sept. 30.
