- ➤ At 301 Lafayette Ave the building that housed a drive-thru A&W for 65 years—long a local favorite—will soon become a drive-thru lemonade shop called Detroit Lemon Squeeze and Eat’ori that will operate year round, while a Wisconsin man pleaded guilty after police found nearly $82K in marijuana and firearms in a car during summer 2024 and St. Hyacinth Church at 1515 Cass Ave closed on July 28. - ➤ A protest rally was held Sunday outside the Bay County Building in Bay City when community members criticized Bay City Bridge Partners for managing the Liberty and Independence bridges with high tolls and low transparency. Local speakers urged lower tolls+ a return to a subscription model+ to ensure better community care. ABC12
