ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two men were rescued from their sinking pontoon boat Saturday morning on Saginaw Bay off Finn Road in Hampton Township when Bay County Sheriff's Marine Patrol responded at 8:45 a.m.—one man in a wheelchair was taken to shore while the other was treated for non-life-threatening injuries as the pontoon sank and was later recovered. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ General Motors will invest $4 billion in domestic manufacturing as its Orion Assembly in Orion Township begins producing gas-powered SUVs and pickup trucks in 2027 while GM Factory Zero in Detroit-Hamtramck is set to build electric vehicles, including models like the Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Hummer EV. Additional investments in Kansas and Tennessee plants will support production of both gas and electric vehicles to meet strong U.S. demand—boosting domestic auto jobs. WNEM

- ➤ Bay City State Park will host the Music from the Marsh concert series starting Saturday, June 14 at 7 p.m. every Saturday until Aug. 30. The free shows feature folk, roots rock, Cajun and country music—indoor performances are planned at the Visitor Center in case of rain while vehicles must present a Michigan State Park passport.
