- ➤ Local families will celebrate Father's Day at the 69th annual Dawn Patrol Breakfast at James Clements Airport on Sunday, June 15, which runs from 7 a.m. to noon and features breakfast from Grampa Tony's along with airplane and helicopter rides that require registration (ride fees range from $40 to $80). The event raises funds for the airport and charges $12 for adult breakfast, $6 for children ages 5 to 12, and offers free meals for kids under five (breakfast prices). MLive

- ➤ Saginaw County court officials warned Bay City residents that texts claiming unpaid tickets with threats of license suspension or prosecution are scams - Chief District Judge Terry L. Clark said the court never sends unsolicited messages - and advised deleting any such texts. MLive
- ➤ A former Bay City police officer was sentenced to probation on May 27 for causing the death of an 83-year-old bicyclist who was struck by an SUV along Tuscola Road/M-15 in Merritt Township on June 20, 2024+ he must pay $1,435 in fines and $4,022.59 in restitution with monthly payments beginning June 27. - ➤ Wednesdays in the Park returns today on the riverfront with 10 free concerts featuring local and cover bands. The event offers free transportation, three food trucks & a concession stand with additional dining opportunities downtown. WNEM
- ➤ Bay City will host the 51st annual Riverside Art Festival this weekend along the Saginaw River with events on Saturday, June 14 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Sunday, June 15 (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). The festival will feature artists from around the country, more than 20 new vendors, and Best of Show awards at 3 p.m. on Sunday. MLive

- ➤ Bay City Public Safety Director Caleb Rowell said he plans to ask the City Commission to approve new Flock cameras that read license plates & alert police when a vehicle is stolen or involved in felonies. The two-year deal costs $39,000 per year with a $6,100 setup fee, and the cameras may be installed about a year after approval. WNEM
