- ➤ Bay City Central High School held its Under the Stars prom on May 22 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, where about 350 students danced and enjoyed a photo booth while some took outdoor photos in Wenonah Park. DeMontay Wilson was crowned king and Amyiah King was crowned queen as peers cheered their wins. MLive
- ➤ AAA will begin its Tow to Go program today at 6 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. May 27; the free service is available to anyone within a 10-mile radius who feels too impaired to drive—recording 25,000 completed tows in 25 years—and offers a last resort to safely get home. ABC12

- ➤ Former Bayside Boutique owners Kym and Kevin Kram opened Third St. Thrift at 115 3rd St.—a new shop in downtown Bay City that offers organized sections of vintage and new items for all ages. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Human remains found in Gratiot County were identified as Jenny Weir, a 43-year-old Clare County resident discovered by a farmer spraying a cornfield on Alger Road in Pine River Township near Alma on May 3—she was last seen alive on Feb. 19, and her relative reported her missing on Feb. 26 as investigators await toxicology results and do not suspect foul play. - ➤ Bay City Western won both the girls and boys titles at the Bay County Track and Field Championship held on May 21 at Bay City Western High School—girls scored 186 and boys 145 with John Glenn placing second and Bay City Central and Essexville Garber rounding out the top three in each division.
