- ➤ On May 16, a Bay County judge issued a restraining order that stops AIM members from interfering with Auburn Cornfest, scheduled for June 19-22. The ruling gives the Auburn Chamber exclusive use of the 20-acre festival grounds from June 9 through June 24—further motions on pending lawsuits will be ruled on today at 1:30 p.m. MLive

- ➤ Michigan health officials warned residents yesterday as Lyme disease cases increased 168% over five years to 1,215 in 2024—prompting advice to use EPA-registered insect repellent and check for ticks after outdoor activities.
