- ➤ Bangor Township school officials are facing criticism after a district attorney questioned two students without parental notification; board spokespeople said the questioning was a response to grooming concerns (although no criminal allegations were made). - ➤ Families can embark on a prehistoric adventure at Delta College Planetarium during summer Saturdays at 2 p.m. from May through August (excluding July 4) as the show explores dinosaur survival through time in downtown Bay City. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ DTE Energy filed a $474 million electric rate increase request on Tuesday and said it will pause further hikes until at least 2028 if its planned data centers come online by the end of 2027 + regulators review the proposal. ABC12
- ➤ The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services launched an interactive Gun Lock Distribution Map listing 150 free sites statewide, including nearly 30 in mid-Michigan. Community groups and agencies may request locks via an online survey to boost safe firearm storage in homes (details available online). WNEM
