  • On Monday, April 20, a local diner enjoyed a small pepperoni pizza from Eudici’s Pizza on Midland Street and praised its fresh, homemade dough and sauce. The takeaway-only shop has operated without seating since the COVID-19 pandemic and also serves Thomas Township + Freeland.  MLive

CULTURE NEWS

  • Bay County student artists will display more than 200 works at Studio 23's annual Teenworks & Kids’ Kreations 2026 show in downtown Bay City from April 25 to May 16. A public reception will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. for students and families.  MLive
  • Taylor Clark, a local violinist and composer, was named the recipient of the 2026 Seeburger Young Artist Award by the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission and received a $1,000 stipend to hire professionals for mixing and mastering her upcoming album.  MLive

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Sanford Lake reached its winter water level of 627.2 feet, so refill operations are paused + officials say the process will resume May 2 if the dam passes safety checks.  WNEM

  • The Department of Natural Resources has introduced a new interactive Inland Trout and Salmon Regulations map via the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish app to help anglers as lower peninsula fishing season starts tomorrow.  WNEM
  • Residents are invited to an informational meeting about the Water Treatment Plant as it nears its 100-year mark on Wednesday, Apr. 29 at 5:30 p.m. Local officials and Fishbeck Engineering representatives will explain plans for upgrades—aiming to improve water quality and system reliability.  WNEM

  • Toni and Trish House finished renovations to improve accessibility and comfort for patients and families thanks to a $10K grant from the Bay Area Community Foundation — the hospice home will hold an open house on May 19 from 3 to 6 at 4699 11 Mile Road.  MLive

  • Bay County prep sports delivered standout moments on April 22 when Western soccer upset Central with a record 12-goal win and Western baseball swept the Oilers with shutout wins; meanwhile, Central’s Lauren Klawon secured a top singles spot in tennis.
