Barney's Bakehouse Bakery will move from its S.

Van Buren & 16th streets location to a new spot on Saginaw Street downtown in June so it can offer more parking and a larger space. Owner Jarrid Weighman said the new location will also expand its Grab & Go line to serve customers better.

ICE contacted the Bay, Saginaw, and Tuscola sheriff departments to ask if they want to join the 287(g) program to help with immigration enforcement; only Jackson County has signed up so far.
