On April 17, Nexteer appeared in federal court in Saginaw— it said Primax, a South Korean tie rod maker, halted deliveries unless millions are paid immediately and prices are raised— a decision that could disrupt production of steering assemblies for popular vehicles.
The company said its facility continues to operate as it seeks a timely legal resolution.
On Tuesday, two cars exchanged gunshots in a rolling shootout near the Zilwaukee Bridge and pursued each other in Bay City; on Wednesday, police captured one vehicle in Flushing—one person was taken into custody even though their role in the shooting was not confirmed while three people were injured and damage to a house on Michigan Street is under investigation.
Bay County declined the Bay City Bridge Partners' toll discount offer because it was not extended to businesses and non-city residents—86 county vehicles remain subject to toll fees.
