- ➤ Bay City will host a large-scale farmers market that begins in June at 409 1st St, running every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Vendors must apply by April 21—acceptance notices will be sent by April 29. MLive
- ➤ Bay City Fireworks Festival said the show will go on as planned this July despite tariffs that may raise the cost of fireworks by nearly 54 percent—Festival President Earl Bovia said delays in receiving some items could change future displays and heavier traffic on Vets Bridge is expected. - ➤ Bay City Mayor Chris Girard said he did not face pressure from State Rep. Timothy Beson to veto the immigration resolution, calling the claims from Monday's commission meeting entirely false. He said he vetoed the measure after receiving many calls and messages from local residents and described his discussions with Beson as professional. MLive
- ➤ Today, the Bay City Department of Public Safety increased traffic enforcement near Veterans Bridge after receiving complaints about drivers not clearing intersections when the lights change — officers will target vehicles that block traffic to ease congestion. Mid Michigan NOW
