- ➤ The Saginaw Spirit and Rescue Ministries raised a record $113,090 during their 14th annual Hockey for the Homeless Night on Feb. 28 when 4,877 fans watched Spirit defeat the Peterborough Petes 5-2. The fundraiser included fan donations, a broomball tournament and a jersey auction. MLive

- ➤ Pit & Balcony Theatre is presenting Ken Ludwig’s comedic adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles at 805 N. Hamilton in Saginaw, with shows on April 10-12 and April 17-19. Tickets cost $20 (performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.). MLive

- ➤ Standish-Sterling grad Sergio Strawn helped work on the Artemis II mission as a liquid hydrogen system engineer with Amentum. The spacecraft flew around the far side of the moon and will splash down Friday, April 10 (it broke the human distance record from Earth). WNEM

- ➤ Mosquito treatments are beginning this week in Bay and Saginaw counties. In Bay today, aircraft from James Clements Airport will spread a granular insecticide over flooding woodlots (6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.), while Saginaw County treatments start tomorrow. ABC12
