- ➤ Bethanne and Kyle Bowles have applied for a license to launch a new sidewalk café with live music, outdoor seating and alcoholic beverages in downtown Bay City. The proposal awaits review by city officials and several departments before the venue can open for business. WNEM

- ➤ Veteran’s Memorial Bridge reopened after a mechanical issue with its gates closed it Friday morning. The Michigan Department of Transportation said crews quickly fixed the problem — traffic is now flowing safely. WNEM

- ➤ Bay City area girls track and field athletes will compete throughout the 2026 spring sports season as top returners like Ripley Andrus from Bay City Western and Layla Bolzman from Unionville-Sebewaing aim for regional and state titles. MLive
