- ➤ BCM Hotel LLC purchased the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Bay City for $20 million at a sheriff's auction—auction documents show the hotel had over $15 million in debt. Wenonah Park Properties has six months to redeem the property by paying the purchase price with interest while hotel operations continue without interruption. ABC12

- ➤ Michigan historian Ric Mixter will present his 'Howling Winds' talk about shipwreck dogs on April 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Saginaw River Marine Historical Society Museum—located by Zales on E. Wilder Road—in a free event. MLive

- ➤ More than 200,000 pounds of liquid eggs produced on March 12th and March 13th are being recalled because a cleaning solution with sodium hypochlorite may have contaminated them—FSIS says the solution is not expected to cause harm. The recall covers Egg Beaters and Bob Evans products sent for foodservice in several states—consumers should throw away the product or return it if purchased. MLive
