- ➤ The 39th annual Great Lakes Bay Regional Fundraiser for Make-A-Wish is set for Friday, Apr. 17 at Great Hall Banquet and Convention Center in Midland and will offer dinner, music, and auctions. Advance tickets cost $70 for adults and $25 for ages 6-18, free for kids under 6. MLive
- ➤ The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development announced $150,000 in animal welfare grants to help 24 shelters care for homeless pets statewide. Bay County Animal Control Shelter in our area received $3,500, and most funds will boost spay and neuter services — helping local animals find healthier lives. ABC12
