The Hispanic Leadership Initiative held a town hall meeting today at the SVRC Marketplace to focus on neighborhood safety — residents and local leaders worked to strengthen community security.

Andrew Wendt said the organization plans to hold another town hall next month.

Bavarian Blast Waterpark, Michigan’s largest indoor waterpark, is softly opening today at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth—offering hotel guests and select day pass holders a first look at the $80 million expansion that features 16 waterslides, a giant wave pool, and Michigan’s first swim-up bar. The project is expected to create 80 new jobs—boosting tourism—with a full grand opening planned later this year.
