Central Michigan University alumni Tim and Nan Buerger Maczka donated $1M to fund a scholarship for medical students committed to serving rural communities in northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

The award covers tuition costs for students raised north of M-57 who plan to return to underserved areas.
