- ➤ Bay City’s 71st annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will start at 2 p.m. on March 15 from the corner of Park and Center avenues and end at Center and Water Streets. The parade follows a weekend of Irish events, including a Celtic concert Friday and mass and flag raising Saturday. MLive
- ➤ Festival organizers addressed concerns raised by Commissioner Benjamin Tenney + confirmed that Confederate Railroad will perform on Thursday, July 2. The board stated the contract is in place + the deposit has been paid to secure the act. WNEM
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bay City commissioner Ben Tenney asked sponsors to withdraw support for the local fireworks festival after organizers refused to remove Confederate Railroad from the lineup. The festival is scheduled for July 1-4 with a headlining concert on July 2 amid controversy over the band’s name & imagery. MLive
