- ➤ On Friday, Feb. 27, community members gathered at The Neighb (3145 Russell St.) to celebrate late artist Nyesha Clark-Young’s life, artwork, and artivism, including her work with local seniors. Over 100 people came together to share memories and view an art exhibit honoring her legacy. MLive

- ➤ Bay Future held its annual meeting in Bay City to honor local businesses for attracting over $60M in investment and more than 200 jobs during 2025 + the event highlighted $600K in training funds and 56 business retention visits. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Feb. 24, DTE Energy notified the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) that it plans to file an application on April 27 for a new electric rate increase set to take effect in 2027. The filing follows a $242 million rate approval affecting 2.3 million customers. MLive
- ➤ The Michigan DNR is expanding its digital tagging system to allow hunters to tag deer, turkey, and bear with a digital option starting March 1. The new system — following a successful pilot — provides a modern alternative while paper tags remain available. ABC12
