- ➤ The 2026 Dow Championship #TeamUp grant program is accepting applications from 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the Great Lakes Bay Region until 5 p.m. on March 13 (each selected organization will receive a $4,500 grant and be paired with an event team). WNEM
- ➤ The Bay County Community Center announced a new pool design with a zero-entry, ADA-accessible layout and play areas, sports zones, climbing walls, and an aquatic ninja course (swim lessons and community programs will also be offered). Construction begins this spring and the pool will open in June 2027. Mid Michigan NOW

- ➤ Jack's Fruit and Meat Market in Hampton Township will reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 10 on Center Avenue — the backup after a December fire forced the store to discard all its products during Serv-Pro's damage assessment. WNEM
- ➤ Tummy Ache Candy Store opened its new Sound of Silence room at 1116 N Johnson St, a sensory experience built (three years of work) to let visitors enjoy musical sounds from sensors on living plants. It opened Wednesday and is available for visitors. Mid Michigan NOW

- ➤ Award-winning photographer Mike Mishler will present maritime and railroad photos, including his winning U.S. Army Corps of Engineers calendar image, on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Bay City. Light refreshments will be served during the event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. MLive

- ➤ City officials say drivers should use caution on Center Ave between Washington & North Jefferson as crews work near 501 Center Ave to fix a water main break; water pressure is expected to return soon. WNEM
