- ➤ Good Samaritan Rescue Mission will open an overnight center on Wednesday in Bay City to offer meals, showers, and laundry for 35 homeless individuals and connect them with housing and health services. Delayed from a Dec. 1 start, the center runs nightly from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. WNEM

- ➤ Rachelle Ovalle, who serves as the parade association secretary, has been named marshal for Bay City’s 71st St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade, known as Blarney by the Bay, will take place on March 15, which is also her birthday. MLive
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Bay City became Michigan’s fastest-growing home market in 2025 as sale prices rose 34 percent, according to a Century Communities report. Real estate agent Shelley Niedzwiecki said homes averaged a $15,000 price jump and spent 33 days on the market. WNEM
