- ➤ Consumers Energy is investing $5M in assistance programs with local partners (United Way South Central Michigan, TrueNorth Community Services, and Salvation Army Great Lakes Division) to help customers manage energy costs, and residents are advised to call 211 for more information. WNEM
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Whitmer ordered Michigan and U.S. flags to half-staff today to honor former state Sen. Joel Gougeon — a public servant who served in the Senate and on the Bay County Board. Flags will return to full staff Wednesday. MLive

- ➤ Bay City Public Schools chose Marc Jarstfer as the new head varsity football coach for Bay City Central and he will lead the Wolves next season after his success at Gladwin High School, where he turned the program around with an undefeated season and a state championship in 2022.
